BIOGRAPHY
“Incient is derived from Ancient but as a Niyabingi the name is pronounced Incient”
Blessings in the name of the most HIGH JAH RASTAFARI whom rules and rein over my life
Incient was born Kevin Bailey 1978 and first appeared on the rap scene at the age of 15 in a battle In Queens NY at the Q Club where at the age of 15 he beat 13 other rappers for a cash prize. Incient is very unique because he is capable of flowing in many different styles. Incient has performed for Billy Danzini of MOP who advised the then 18-year-old to keep going. He was real with him and explained they were trying to get out of their deal so he would not pull him in. That night Incient had his first brush with his future as he sat in DND studios. Inicent has been currently creating a new album dedicated to the soul that is missing in R&B with singles like Trust and Carmen he is well on his way to do so.
Incient's style has strong blues, funk and soul influences. The fact that most of the tracks on the album are placed over beats with a strong hip-hop influence is possibly forecasting an interest in creating a hip-hop album. But for now Incient continues working with DubPlanet on a truly universal and unique album and plan to take the industry by storm with tracks that no one has ever heard before tracks that remind you of when music was music.
Inicent has performed in many Tampa venues the Brewery, 112, Platforms the Falls and most frequently at the Orphium Located on 8th Ave and 15th street in Ybor City. Incient is a true musician who dedicates himself to every project he is involved in with his heart and soul. Incient also creates poetry, some of which finds its way into his songs. One Poem has been published by an online Poetry contest Incient can create music that can make you feel as though you are in the song experiencing the emotion what ever it may be. Currently Incient will soon be releasing a single off his demo entitled “AMBITION” Incient’s blend of R&B, Roots and Rap are sure to as he says “Make um Step up Da Game”.
